Sumali sa Leave No Trace in Vail, CO – Hunyo 28-30, 2024

Pinipili namin ang mga nominadong panlabas na espasyo na nangangailangan ng aming sama-samang pangangalaga at atensyon. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatalaga sa kanila bilang mga Spotlight, hinihikayat namin ang lokal na komunidad na umunlad, makipagsanib-puwersa sa Leave No Trace, at gumawa ng makabuluhang epekto na maaaring muling pasiglahin at protektahan ang mga espesyal na lugar na ito kung saan tayo muling lumilikha, magsaya sa kumpanya ng isa't isa, at magpataas ng ating kalusugan pisikal, mental at emosyonal. 

Ang Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District ay napili bilang 2024 Leave No Trace Spotlight. Ang Subaru/Leave No Trace Travelling Team ay nasa Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District Hunyo 28-30, na nakikipagtulungan sa mga host at kasosyo sa iba't ibang mga programa kabilang ang mga proyekto ng stewardship, workshop, at outreach sa komunidad.

Saturday, June 29:

Leave No Trace Pop-up Education & Outreach, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, Gore Creek Trailhead, East Terminus of Bighorn Road, Vail, CO

Join Leave No Trace, Town of Vail, and USFS staff and partners for engaging outreach and education, meet the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team, and learn more about Leave No Trace and how to protect the incredible natural areas in the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District and all your favorite outdoor spaces. Local organizations will have information tables set up to share more information about opportunities to get involved locally. Visitors are encouraged to take the free shuttle bus.

Sunday, June 30:

Volunteer Stewardship Project, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Meet at Vail Transportation Center or the trailhead where you plan to work (Gore Creek Trailhead or the North Trail – Red Sandstone Trailhead)

Join Leave No Trace, Town of Vail, and USFS staff and partners in the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District for a fun volunteer day and stewardship project. Volunteers will work on a variety of projects such as trail maintenance and other needed restoration work. Advance sign up is encouraged. 

We encourage volunteers to take free shuttle buses from the Vail Transportation Center to either the Gore Creek Trailhead or the North Trail – Red Sandstone Trailhead. Participants may also meet at the trailhead they from which they want to work.

Mahalagang impormasyon: 

– Must be able to walk/hike on uneven terrain.
– Bring water, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and dress for the weather.
– Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
– Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required.
– Tools & supplies provided, but please bring work gloves if you have them.
